I'm really annoyed I discovered him after he left melbourne, and i won't get to see him play.

Ben Frost is sublime. Saw him for the first time at TINA a few years back and it was so impressive. He keeps getting better too. There was an Abelton session with him that I went to and it was clear that he's imaginative and fluent.

I actually picked this up yesterday. First impressions are very, very good.
the track that has stuck with me however is We Love You Michael Gira.
Good stuff!

I was really hoping to like this and really thought I would but, whilst I appreciate his approach to music making, sadly i just didn't feel this record. But I'll give it another go as it may have been my mood at the time.
It's definitely a moody record...
With my first listen i felt at times all 5 tracks a little difficult to digest. Dark, abstract and sonically disturbuing. But pushing past the obscurity it was always rewarding.
It hurts o so good ;)
Ben Frost is playing this sunday at the Toff
if you missed HEcker, or even if you didnt dont miss this!

I went. Kind of speechless now.
I have listened to this album constantly for a few months now.
His performance was a little shorter than i would have liked, but the 6 guys madly strumming guitars on stage probably would have passed out if it did.
