Just came from an incredible weekend in Melbourne, and I do have to say in my opinion Melbourne atmosphere, music, DJ talent, venue setup and are all months if not a year ahead of Sydney.
Flew into Melb late Thurday night, taken to Teriyaki (can't thank you enough for this recommendation Tyson) and this place absolutely made up for a disappointing New Years Eve. Loved Suzuki at Bass Stattion as well, the two levels above were also tasty. Hooked up with some crazy people who helped make the whole thing even better and I was just plain impressed that the best places stay open well into the day after!
Hard Kandy was good for a little bit, nice n' hard even if it was in a cheesy sort of way and it was easy to have fun in there, but after a few hours the monotony of same muic-one room got to me.
Viper was also pretty good, nicely suited for a late Sunday night social-feast. The setup was interesting and just perfect for dropping a couple Smileys and enjoying a party.
Drool, drool, droool. To those I met, there are some more Pink Question Marks waiting when you visit.
