Just read the announcement for the release of Bong-Ra's new Sublight Records assault 'Vitus Blister' (http://www.bong-ra.com/news.html) on the 29th of July.

Excitement ahoy!

Previews are available on the Sublight Site (http://www.sublightrecords.com/) - and from what I've heard we appear to finally have a worthwhile follow up to 'Soldaat Van Oranje', arguably my favourite album of all time.

Now I'm hoping they'll hurry up and open the Sublight pre-order!

Bring it awn! I absolutely rape the Bong-Ra mixes of Venetian Snares it's one of my faves.

Sublight is such a good label. Bong Ra is another like Snares in that some of it is boring but the Sublight releases always seem to be top shelf...

^Very true. I enjoy the majority of his stuff but for some reason the Sublight tunes (even those appearing as simply part of a compilation ala 'The Sub Of Light' on Eyelicker) are in a class of their own.

Just came across this on a blog. Will check it out tonight. Who would have thought doom/drone would become trendy!

Mount Fuji is excellent - but I wouldn't say trendy. A nice pairing with the related Kilamanjaro project.

Ad Nosieam are also about to release Full Metal Jacket which is a collection of the rather entertaining 'Bong Ra does speed metal' 12s - Grindkrusher etc.

I meant drone is trendy. Everyone is doing it. I blame Sunn's flashy album covers and cool song names.

Oops I meant Full Metal Racket.

Link? After you've listened, its not that difficult to buy them direct from Ad Noiseam. http://www.adnoiseam.net/

Its a shame they haven't got a digital download deal worked out yet with Bleep or Boomkat but their mail order is pretty speedy.
