The wog night at QBH is about to end. Finally, Melbourne looks like getting a Saturday night of international standard. As of late March a new night run by one of Melbournes most famious promotors is set to start. The night will not only feature regular big name internationals, but also rotational regular Sydney residents of home namely, Alex Taylor, Jules Beumont, Jason Bye and Sarah Main. These guys will kick arse along side the best of our Melbournes house DJs (with an anti cheese policy). Guys and you don't have to worry there will be a new door policy, staff and security so none of that crass crowd gets in.

We really need a decent Saturday night.

Hurray!

this has something 2 do with the fact that Monkey is moving full-time from the Palace 2 QBH, hasn't it?

I have just come back from sydney where I went to sat@home and it was incredible. Fucked all over anything regular we have going here at the moment. In crowd, music, attitude, and production. It may not have been to good to start 2 years ago but now it is a class act. Saturday at least fridays crass. Jason Bye is a class above any of the regulat djs in Melbourne except maybe phil k (who also plays guests at home)Sorry guys not being disloyal just telling you as it was.

The regular internationls would be who ever was being toured at the time I expect. Not sure what Melbourne djs are on the short list but I know they are going for a house night. Deep through progressive but not baning.

I am suspicious it may be the monkey crew doing this night as they have conections with home and also QBH I noticed that mysteriously all the Monkey parties untill june had been moved back to the palace. (I just rang monkey but refused to speculate on anything else)

Let hope it is these guys and they do something fresh.

Mark James deserved to get whipped at NY for his continued low production mass market events. Monkey has always been quality.

I am 99.99% sure it is Monkey and that some old home promotors where also involved. ( I don't think they will call it monkey though)

Who knows chris knight. Someone call him and find for us.

I rang QBH and something is happening.

Please be quality

I hope this is all true. The potential of the venue is massive. It could be soo much fun if was done right. Everything in melbourne on a big scale is boring me. Same attitude, same banging trace or out of control progresive house at all the big venues. There are so many other styles of non cheese house. I too love phill ks stuff. Heard Sarah Main at Monkey once and she was not just the hottest girl I had ever seen (could not help but perve for quite a while) but also played a wicked pure house set. Not cheese but still happy with some phat beats. She most certainly can get the crowd very excited.........both sexes. Woops did I just give something away.

Yeah, as I said in an earlier post - Monkey is moving 2 QBH - and YES Sarah Main (Sassi) is so cool - (c my post/topic for Monkey NYE) the epitome of banging Tech/House

Its true; Chris Knight is taking QBH Saturdays. It will not be monkey thats staying at the Palace except for white Monkey which will still be at QBH. They are only doing the big Monkey parties now. Chris Knight & co are instead opening a new Saturday at QBH, this night will vary much from the current monkey. It will be a new night. They are going to try and make it into something like Sat@Home. One of my Sydney friends was telling me about some hugh @!#$ fight at Home and aparently the good promotors left. The new promoter (who apparently has no idea and everyone hates except tini poppers?) is changing Sat@Home, the general Sydney scene aparently hates what has happened and I was even told clubbers where crying when the old promoters had their last night on Saturday. (I think that sound like crap though). I better read some Sydney forums.

The point is that maybe the old promoters of home are getting involved with Chris Knight and the new night at QBH? Now that would scare the @!#$ out of some of Melbournes doggy, slimmy promoters. In fact it would scare the good ones too I think.

Just a thought though.

But its good to know someone is going to try and give QBH some quality at last.

I have to agree with you there Claire...

I'm from Sydney and was recently in Melbourne to watch sport, yet when I wanted to party, I couldn't find anything...

Great to hear something is comming on down there.

I think your the hypocrite Bernard- seeing as tho u judge ppl by what they wear & then get pissed at me cuz I call that bitch of yours a skank (which she looks to me like she deserves). Reality check loser- YOU are the hypocrite, i tell it like it is. If you've got a problem with that sugar then you know where I am. If not then shut up & sit down
