Has anyone else seen this magazine?
I picked one up the other day, very stylee looking magazine and with a free mix-cd from Sydney DJ Kate Monroe. The CD is wicked!! Really good deep funky house toons... nice and tasty.

anyone else check it?

Yes, but I liked the last issue alot more. I didn't think I would see another issue as it seemed more than 2 months since the last one. There was a breaks mix on the last one which was much better, the content and design in the last one was really good too. I hope they don't go down that Ministry path...

While its styling and layout was fantastic, I found its content was bland and there wasnt enough actual articles and instead there was just a lot of glossy pictures. I think there should be more interviews and lifestyle articles in Remix. The Kate Monroe CD is fabulous and that made up for it.

Ministry is a far better magazine, with indepth reviews of the club and rave scene in every capital city and MANY articles not just two or three like in Remix.

From what I gather from talking to a friend who knows the remix crew... they aren't trying to be a dance magazine. they see themselves as more of a lifestyle magazine... with fashion and dance music etc...
I thought the articles were really good? have you read them? there seems to be more intelligent indepth thought gone into it. it's not just a trashy disposable dance mag like ministry, but a lifestyle mag who happen to do dance cds!!
I would rather they stuck with that than tried to be like Ministry...

nah, I reckon there's absolutely no coincidence there at all - the fact that the remix email address and the thread from which "Sarah B" has posted tells us nothing !! ;P

I like 'em both (who said I work in PR?!) but I was a bit disappointed by the better sex through chemistry article. I think a bit more field work is required!
