on the technics you can check using the dots

now apart from using your ears is there a way, using a special cd or other method to test if the pitch on a second hand cdj is accurate and holds?

just check it against another CDJ using the same tune. If you cue it up correctly and it matches for 3mins you know ya reet.

that doesn't really help jim...

What if there are dead spots in the pitch fader?

Does the cd player display pitch? If it does, shouldn't it drop back to 0% when the fader hits a dead spot or do cd players read from the pitch position rather than the actual pitch change?

I prob haven't helped either... sorry...

But of you've got the same track in both decks then why cant you set them both at 1% then check, 2% then check, 3% then check etc etc??
