Question for nerds with two records?

I have a question. When you flange a record by playing two of them at the same time. How does the quality of this sound on a live system.

well here is the deal i have a gig ligned up for next week. However, basically this is what is going on like a dumbass I deleted all my originals. So now all I have is some sets that I have made, and I don't have dsl to download anymore toons. So basically what I am doing is stripping down old sets clip, looping and all kinds of other stuff. However I do not know if you have ever flanged records before, when I was working on it I was not impressed with the results. However I just got out of the shower and sounds alot better. I know I am putting much more work into this than probably any other person, I just want something that sounds really good.


The other problem I am about half way down and there is a song that has one of those like really exntended epic synth things and it does not sound bad, however when I add the loops to it sounds like it is trailing off and doesn't go with the rest of the beat.

also seeming the loops to the breaks, so that it sounds like a seemless mix. I guess I will loop the breaks too.

not referencing this thread, how tasteless.

well i changed my mind, basically i kind of mixed my own set altogether by sampling diffrent peoples tracks.


it's basically an hour worth of loops from trance songs

it's sounds like a science experiment but very very badass.

it has the noise in the background that sounds like chemicals being mixed, and then crazy electrod type drums and a couple of noises. then at the end it gets all trippy with some kind of trippy shit. i'm impressed needless to say.

Anything that beetles can synchronise to and have their butter whipped at the same time is good in my books, flanging is only for professionals though so I wish there was a bargain involved hey! Even better when you go INTO the shower rather than come OUT of it... and turn down the radius dude!

I'm kind of lost by your question, but if you mean phasing then I don't think I've heard an FX phaser that sounds as fat as two vinyls on the suck. Sounds like you're using MP3s though and I've never tried it with that.

You need to apply the anti-flange FX to both channels if using it on a live system as the live system will amplify the dual-flange output more than your run-of-the-mill home system. If you can master it i've heard it is the bomb!

dude all i know is i have made alot of djs sets and deleted all of them and the original tracks wich was stupid. however i stored almost all of those mixes on a server for the internet. wich was stupid from what i have learned now. (reason why I say this is when I made all of those mixes, for the most part I liked to tracks or like what was given to me at that time. However some mixes are better than others so just because it is there does not make it good) however don't quote me on that because I got extremely lucky with this one, problem is my resources are finished wich prevents me from making any more so you might get your wish afterall. So if you are bullshitting then please explain, because I am still catching up from when all this bullshit started.


but anyway I would like to make more stuff like this set I made, playing it tomorrow in a club in Houston. however it sounds sweet on the box however I am concerned about it's ability to with stand club atmosphere. because of the fact people are too stupid to know what good is or they have a limited attention spand.
