View Full Version : Electronic music gems hide in dark dusty corners of nostalgia
So much of the best sounds and music i hear nowdays is amongst ads, childrens shows, movies etc
I think maybe this song seeped in to my brain at a young age and has a lot to do with my love for eerie electronic music-

I dont know what gave me the idea to type fat tulip in to youtube but the warm feeling of nostalgia the theme provided me with was well worth it, i genuinly think the song is brilliant.
Do you have any trash or treasure you can put forward? im bored and want more cause i know theres heaps out there i just cant think of it right now.
tv themes, a sound effect in a show that you love, a story, anything thats of worth to you and may be to someone else as well, please post it! No rules

The Ulysses 31 title music (and indeed, the show incidental tracks) is seriously stonking.
Sounds a bit patchy on the link below, but it kicks off at about the 50 second mark.
Extended version MP3 featuring rapping by No-No the robot available 'pon PM request.
Nostalgia duster-offers Trunk records are beefing it up & giving it a re-release soon too, they've done wonders for forgotten obscurities by giving them a new vinyl lease of life.
Cool 'toon too, half French, half Jap and about Greek mythology. In space. Just as well the track's getting a proper release before Daft Punk slightly rejig it for their next album ;)
Altogether now!

Hahah Tony Robinson has hair!
Truckers gets my vote, I used to crank the theme song as a little kid. God I love this series.
Unfortunately I can only find a full episode, the song begins at 1:45. Sends shivers of the past down my weary spine.'

^^^ Vangelis is great, i like the blade runner score alot but that ^galipoli^ music is gold.
the stuff he did with Jon Anderson of 'Yes' is worth a listen.

Yeah, the Bladerunner soundtrack was great - The Gallipoli track is Jean Michel Jarre though, really suited the scene in the film but maybe not the preview - here's another link.

hehe, crazy shit here too. dj_killer_lamb and I were talking about this show the other night and couldn't remember what the name of it was. And today I stumble upon this thread.
This is my pick. Classic cheese action right here; puts trance melodies to shame in that regard:
