Hi Bella
Yeah the Melbourne side of this forum is a bit slow - inthemix is still seen as basically a Sydney site, but slowly the Melbourne party crew will grow.
If you really want Melbourne info, look at thescene.com.au (basically the reverse of inthemix - a huge Melb presence and minimal Sydney input) or bluelight.nu (while a national forum, Melb seems to dominate this).
As for general partying, IMHO Melb leads the nation......whether it be every-week clubbing or the big parties....but that is only my opinion. :)
ED
nah- i'm over other sites......
i'm from sydney & i like being on here....... but there's just no melb ppl at all.....

I second that motion. Though this is a primarily sydney dominated site lots of Melbournians, come here to check out the latest and greatest news and veiws ;)
Hi everyone this is my frist post on inthemix. Come on Melbourne lets make this happen tell your mates about it and try to make it as good as the thesecne. Don't get me wrong Syd this is a great site with lots of info keep up the good work
Yeah, I'll, ummmm, third that motion!! hehehee, can I do that?? Having only lived here for nearly 2yrs, I too have come to the conclusion that Melbourne rocks. Sometimes, there are too many events to choose from, and it's sad that I dont have enough time or money to go to them all.....life is hard!!!
Emjoi....gently.

PULlleeeasseee- The scene is just wrong :) excuse my hasty opinions, but the last I read on the scene, their preoccupation with gossip and scandal amongst the rave scene as "feature articles" (READ Little Black Book travelling through Hard Kandy pfftttt) rather than hearty, wholesome, knowledgable content was a bit much to handle. And don't you worry as Brett said- Us Melbournians are here, we're just you know establishing our grounds and readying ourselves for a "greater" infiltration :) *PiNKe chants ITM YEAH ITM YEAH ITM YEAH!* ....

one of the most significant things i have found in looking at lots of different forums around the country, is that there is a core group of people who spend their entire working day with their favourite home-city forum page open.
as a result, these people, fuelled further by those who come and go briefly, use it almost as a chatroom, discussing anything and everything. once you start to get a decent number of responses for pretty much any topic, it snowballs. it also triggers a new thought in the mind of person x who is reading a particular post and so they start a new thread. but note the importance of the knowledge of high reader/response numbers before you actually post something. i have hesitated before posting things in the ITM perth forum because i know i won't get a response (believe me - i've tried it on several occasions). on sydney, you can guarantee that almost any post, unless it is a plug for something obscure (eg a website for a dj no one has ever heard of) it will get massive response because there is a group of people there who are watching everything as it comes up, and enjoy the discussion-like feel to the forum.
the same goes for other forums around the country and it tends to feed off itself. in every city there are potential new forum addicts just starting to get online and discover these sites. now, it's pretty obvious that they are going to stick with the forum that has the most responses to threads.
but don't give up hope! every forum starts off slowly and builds exponentially. it happened with the sydney forum on ITM too. it took a long time before it really got going, and so too with the others. i'd dare say melbourne is only just getting going, but it's a healthy sign when there are threads appearing such as "who are we all" because, as someone mentioned above, it gives a more intimate feel to things. perth is slowly breaking into a walk, whilst brisbane is still taking its first shaky steps. but they will eventually get going because ITM will always be around.
that's my rambling for the morning (and no, i didn't go out las nite)

Hmmm yes... I'd agree, we're kicking off and just nicely, and the board does have a nice feel to it... I think OMG i feel an addiction coming on... (That rewards program is somewhat feeding my ego aswell *giggelz*) I think the people that post on this forum post and respond to some very hearty topics which tend to generate some excellent and knowledgeable conversations. [without a lot of the crap that gets posted on some message boards *PiNKe reviews that statement after looking to some of her responses... * Anyhow the point is, we're here we have a heartbeat and we're thriving....

WTF . . . Where's the love?
This was not meant to start a bitter war of websites.
It's nice to see that you are so passionate about ITM. I admire that. But with little love coming from you - i'll stick to thescene.

HEY hey HEY agent99,
I'm full of love :) That was simply a personal opinion about the scene (which a few people agreed on! :P) Just as your comment on the people being on the scene's forum was :) No harm or lack of love intended and I do sincerely apologise if you felt no love generating from me :) It's all a matter of choice agent99 you choose the scene we choose ITM (and yes yes I'm very passionate about it) BTW has anyone in the scene forums gotten over their gripes with HK yet? :)
LOTS and LOTS and LOTS of LURVE PiNKe`UHU
