hi to all melbournians... from up sydney way..

what i wanted to ask was.. do you guys still do/ have the melbournian shuffle?
( i went about 2 years ago) and when i went to various clubs.. you all seemed to have the same step happening.. its like you glide across the floor..
like one step a skip in between and then 2 hops..

it sounds strange i know..; if only i could demonstrate.. its a really groovy type of dancfe move..
nothing poxy.. but really smooth and groovy.. and then there are also the hands in the air about half way to the shoulder level.. moving to the beat in rthythm to the music..
can anyone help me out?

does the viper room still exist?
or even the dome??
any suggestions onwhere to go for a good time if i was to come down for the weekend..
whats the best time of year to go?

( would prefer a place that either has drum n bass/ jungle/ breakbeat or house, garage, hard house driving music.)

Hey Chog-e... I find it so funny how all people outside of Melbourne comment on the Melbourne shuffle... The hoover crew people just came down to HK from Adelaide and they were all like OMG The Melbourne Shuffle.... It's amazing how different states actually dance differently... I find it quite amusing. But i know what you mean, no one seems to realise it until they're either 1 Melbourne person in a group of Heaps of Sydney siders for example and you start dancing and it's like *shizzen* i must look so bizarre. Yeh Viper Room is still around.... I've only ever been there on a Sunday night for Jason Midro's S.O.N Dayze... Not sure what goes on there the rest of the weekend. DOME is still around *cough* :) Well where to go??? Drum and Bass/ jungle- Soulaar Thursday night's @ The Lounge, a new club has just opened on on High Street @ address 171 *i think* that plays funky house/progressive, and is frequented by Melbourne DJ's (that i know of) Richie Braic and Jeremy K. AND Hard House- Go Hard Kandy or for Hard House and a variation in stylez- go Bass Station.... and S.O.N Dayze on Sunday @ Viper- plays hardhouse/NRG with a combination of Hard Kandy and Bass station DJ's - Master Kaos, Ben Kakoschke, Jason Midro, Chuckie, Jeremy K, Nexus, Scott Alert, Ajax, Krash.... etc. etc. And there of course there's always the parties that occur... As for time of year... I don't know- any long weekend or Public holiday in melbourne there's bound to be about 5 different events running, about 10 after parties to those events, and also your regular club night's! :) :P :) :P
