Hey guys,
Just wondering what the best priced/quality road cases are? Also the best place to get them. Looking to either get individual ones for cdj1000x2 and one for mixer Djm600, or go all in one, what would work better?

All in one works best - you only have to cart around one box... Second hand the ones with Pioneer logo on them go for $250 odd. I'd suggest that rather than new

Does anyone have the one that turns into a table. How sturdy is it?

Yeah I have seen the one with the wheels, definitely don't want an all in one without the wheels.

I think you should think about how you would use them, so you can make an informed decision. Also be sure to check weight some are heavier than others, some are better built etc...

The problem I see with separate cases, is if you do lots of gigs and no one is helping you, you can only carry 2 cases at the time, this might mean when you go back for the third one you might not find it anymore...

The problem with an all in one, is if it falls, it falls hard, thus if you want to travel by plane with it take insurance.
Travelling with the individual cases is better for not getting the equipment broken but multiply the risk of loosing one, plus weights more...can't win? can you...lol

the dj at a local bar i go to has one, seems pretty sturdy. he's only on a 30cm riser thing infront of the crowd (ie nothing seperates him and the crowd, only this table thing and the height) and people put jackets, bags, drinks underneath it. never seen it wobble/fall etc.

also, last sat after close some big (100kg) drunk guy was sitting on the case (closed of ourse), seemed fine

Might have to go a second hand all in one it think. I don't really like taking my decks out to play, but i guess if it becomes an issue id like to have a case to have them in. Also would be good for transport between, my home in melb during sem and my parents place.

personally i would just make one, not that hard to do and you get it to suit your need completely

Hmm, would love to, but no real time for that. Uni is a bitch.

Road Ready
Built like a brick shithouse
I weigh in at 94kg and I can stand on the case without fear.

Anywhere around the corners I would be willing to jump up and down on all day long and not fear for the gear inside.

Best cases going in my opinion and definitely go for the coffin on wheels....I had two cases for my TT's and they were so heavy to carry about.....also the coffin you remove the lid, add power and connections to speakers and you are playing

Only warning they are damn heavy and the ball corners will leave your car or walls in your house or anything you knock with them second best
