dreamcast is still rocking out

it owned over the playstation... a pity the PSX killed it

plus you can copy games like a bitch! no mod chip needed!

yum yum

ps, as for the PS2... nah.... who needs to pay for another dvd player with the price of the console :(

the game cube is fun (not mine of course... Superfluid funster NIL has every console ever made it seems.... jebus....)

I doubt very much the Dreamcast 'owns' anything. Due to the failour of the Dreamcast to sell any units, and because the Saturn before that and 32X before that and Mega-CD before that also failed in selling enough units, Sega are no longer in the business of making consoles and therefore no more games are being made for the dreamcast... I'm a big fan of Sega games, their arcade games rule, shame about their consoles...

the dreamcast had more quality games on it over 2 years than the PSX did over its entire life. it could even keep pace or surpass the PS2 first generation of games. i dont know one person who owned one that was disappointed with it. respect to the DC.

marcus never owned one eh?

yes the game numbers are insanely large, and its 3d and gfx shit on the psx

they just couldnt 'sell at a loss' like sony could afford to do to get the system out there

its funny watching a "certain" uk soccer team still sporting dreamcast jerseys

DC still holds a place in my heart

Agreed Driload. Sorry Marcus but they are swank.

I have a giant box full of games for mine. I doubt many PS2, Nintendo or XBox people will ever have over 50 games let alone 75. Never get bored with the dreamcast lying around.

Of course having all 4 game systems is better :P

Oh you poor, clueless mainstreamer.

Not only did the DC "own" the PSX, but it also layed the smack down in a big way on the PS2 until around the time GT3 came out which was one of the first true next-gen games for the PS2, and that took quite a while to finally hit the shelves.

Until then, the PS2 had nothing on the DC.

Nothing.

And if it wasn't for Sonys false promises of Toy Story graphics and characters that showed real-time emotion people would have snapped up the DC by the load. As it stands, every single person I know with an interest in game will testify that the DC is easily one of the best consoles with the best games line-up every produced.

Soul Calibur vs TTT?
MSR vs RRV?

No competition. The only decent thing that was on the PS2 when it launched was the DVD playback, and even it was sub-par until they updated the drivers.

Did the Dreamcast broadband service take off in Australia?

I was just reading up on Phantasy Star Online (PSO) and it sounded like an awesome game... :(

no, the broadband adapter wasnt even released here i dont think. Ozisoft fudged even the dialup online service so badly (some original lame tie-in with BigPond only) that it just never took off at all.

the Dreamcast was so ahead of its time it wasnt funny. pity bout the marketing.

Dreamcasts rock. I bought one a month or two ago with 50 or 60 games. House of the Dead 2 with a light-gun, baby!

Rez rocks too, it'd be good fun to play at a house-party.
