I could give you an opinion, but you wouldn't like it.

Asking for an opinion now is like shutting the noisegate after the hoarse has bolted, no?

I just bought a pair of Sennheiser HD215's for the exact same price. The sound is fantastic and the build quality is great. I don't feel like they are going to break anytime soon unless some lard sits on them, even then they'd have to pretty fat.

I used to use HD212pro's. upgraded to HD515's. Wanted more bass, so got HD280pro's...I Regret being a tightass and should have just got the HD-25's :S

515's have great acoustic and treble response, dont block out noise. 280's are brilliant but uncomfortable as all hell. I feel like I'm wearing a watermelon.

Well, to be honest, I've used the a bit since I got them and they are extremely comfortable. They're not bulky and have amazing sound quality. Of course, they don't completely block out all exterior noise but damn they close.
A lot of you are saying it was a bad decision to buy them, etc, etc, but what is the reason?
Sound quality, durability, etc?
I know Sennheiser are amazing and Audio Technica are right up there but don't most brands have high end stuff, and if compared, are of similar quality?
I don't know, I'm just putting it out there...

The reason is as such, I don't blame you for your mistake, because once upon a time I did the same mistake...but for about $91 more you could have bought the Sennys HD25.

The HD25 are probably the best around, or a better choice than the Numark would have been the Pios which I would say are probably the second best. In Anycase The Numark would not even fall in the top 10 best headphones for Deejays.

At the end of the day when you don't know any better, it doesn't matter, if you are happy that is really good for you...but if you start to stir things around after you have actually already done the purchase, that will become really itchy...

when i first put on HD25's it was like love.. there was no turning back.. a week later i bought a pair and haven't regretted the decision for a second.. best dj headphones.. ever..

poor bloke..i thought i'd spend money on headphones and got myself a pair of 1210 technics. if wanted the senny's but i didnt no i could get them for the same price i paid for my technics. 3years later and my technics still look feel and sound brand new. btw i use them everyday for at least 2-3hours. so dont waist ur money on cheap headphones because u'll either want to upgrade all they'll break and you have to upgrade

Ah well.
Making mistakes is how we learn right?
Perhaps I'll be a little more intelligent next time.
But for the time being, they're fine.
Thanks for the input (positive or negative).

Headphones are a personal taste. I've used pretty much everything on the market at some stage, and IMO I've found the best phones so far to be my Ultrasone's. They make HD-25's sound like tinny PC integrated speakers!!

No joke, first time I plugged them in and tapped the cue button, I thought the mixer was leaking. The sound quality is just phenomenal. And they're so light, too. I'd definately recommend them.

^^^fuck oath, ultrasone are my next headphones, and someone said pioneer to be second best, pfft, i got the hdj 1000 and they have to be the worst headphones i have ever used, i'm on my second pair, the first broke in bout 6 months, and then instead of getting them fixed i got a brand new pair for 70 bucks in return for the broken ones. i can't wait for them to snap so i can move onto ultrasones.

i know they cost a bit but i dont care at least they'll last longer than 5 years and the sound is another level, sennwha

many people have different opinions on what are and are not good DJ headphones.

IMO the best headphones you can buy are the ones that you're assured will work every time for a long time. the sound that comes out of them is a far second since it's not even the sound that anyone hears except for you.

treat them well and don't abuse them. if you start to get gigs look at tech 1210's or senh HD25's and leave the numarks as backups just incase.

they make sounds, therefore they're "good enough"

seriously if you like them and you feel comfortable with them who cares what anyone else says. its sitting on your head not theirs. as long as you treat them good they will last for a long time.
