"Great Moments In Self Promotion - part 1"
I used to play at this night called 'Mutant'. It had really cool skeleton posters and hosted Munk (http://www.gomma.de/). The slogan of the night used to be "wonky basslines, quirky synths and erratic pop melodies"... but a particular streetpress magazine in Sydney run our blurb for months with the slogan "WANKY basslines, quirky synths and erratic pop melodies".
hahaha.

wonky disco!
all sorts of punk funky discoid madness. anything on tiny sticks or bear funk/entertainment for one. dfa does it well with "death from abroad".
we do a night called DISCO NOT DISCO (which is the last thursday of the month at gilligans) and we smash a fair bit of it.
as mentioned above, gomma's got a lot to answer for (eg; the new Rodion LP).
