On one of my decks about 50% of the left hand channel cuts out.... I've narrowed it down to be the tonearm on the deck, and putting a bit of saliva on the contacts seems to fix it for a while, but that can't be good for corrosion over time... is there an easy way to fix this pernamently???

Hrmmm... managed to fix it for now with a pair of metal tweazers by scratching away any bits of gunk on the tonearm contacts... hopefully that's all it was :)

Ive experienced my concordes having similar issues, I think other members mentioned they have too. IIRC an issue with the length of the contacts.

Search and see if you can fi...... ah nevermind..

bit of CRC226 or electrical contact cleaner on the contacts should fix it up.

The gunk is more than likely years of your saliva changing it's chemical composition due ti electrical current passing through it and thus creating a barrier between the contact surface area of the tonearm and cartridge there by dropping a channel.

Scratching it off isn't too intelligent either as you just gouge the surface of the contact there by reducing the surface contact area on the tonearm contacts.

PCB cleaner on a contact swab is the best things to keep all contact areas clean.
