What do Melbourne people think of Kazu Kimura? Does anybody know what he's doing on the production/DJing front?
He hasn't been to play in Melbourne in ages, are people just dying to see him play (like me) or is he not that missed?
answers please

Kazu Kimera is pure talent. A wizard on 3 decks and he knows how to rock it up!
He lives in Brisbane where he recently did support for Jeff Mills, and he runs a night called the Cross there at Monastery. Apparently he has some things going down on the production front, so he'll be djing less soon.
Sometimes you can hear him playing on Lucid Dreaming, which is a monday night show on www.pulseradio.net, global dance radio, broadcast only over the net, and u listen using winamp. Check that out anyway for news of what Kazu is up too, as in chat channel = pulsechat there are heaps of Bris ppl.

Yep, Kazu needs a higher profile, given his level of talent...He played in Perth just before Christmas last year, and he's returning next month with Simon Coyle. His set last year was on 3 decks throughout and was flawlessly mixed.
I believe he's going to start producing shortly, under the name "Uzak"....
kazu is currently in europe, gigging mainly in germany, which he does a couple of times a year. he's been playing in briz quite a lot lately, including at a monthly party i put on called 'horny'. he's played a couple of times recently at deepspace in sydney but your right, he hasnt been down in melb for a little while. he has a mixed cd coming out shortly with simon coyle. im from melb and will be heading home to live at the beginning of next year. i'll most likely continue the promotion/dj thing down there (try my best to) so i'll no doubt bring mr. kimura down every now and then to bust out some deep, funky techno.
