Ok - I don't know shit about this stuff..
I got a bunch of MP3's and I want to be able to add: cover art / genre / BPM
I want the tags to be able to be viewed with digital Dj platforms (serato / Torq / Traktor) - None of which I own as yet.
I want to be able to view the BPM tag in a standard detailed win XP window (alongside Title / artist / genre etc)
I should add - I already have my own methods for calculating the BPM, so no need for a utility to auto do it.
I don't use Itunes that much, so thats not an issue. I usually listen to MP3's through Win Media Player - Don't know if this matters.
reccomendations??

I love iTunes for on the fly listening and editing, but for bulk batch editing I use The Godfather free tagger.

You can tag and write meta data in Traktor also

MP3tag
MP3 tag or Foobar 2000
Once you own the platform it's probably better to use their own software
for example i use serato and you can tag WAV files, which you can't do with another program then view it inside serato

Can all of those also Tag WAV's as well? And are they available for Mac?
What's your pick?
I've read you can tag WAV somehow? but never found out how, and my guess it would be quite limited. I've got a Dave Clarke CD thats tagged, but maybe that's tagging in the container of the cd format (who knows)
Big + with Serato is that you can tag WAVs, it's not actually writing into the WAV file though

serato isn't tagging the actually files, it's writing it to an index.
if you want lossless + tagging it's FLAC time

But Serato doesn't support FLAC yet, does it?

iTunes allows you to bulk edit all of those tags and add album artwork in batches, but it can't auto-calculate the bpm if thats what you're after.

fucking awesome. I just did a fresh XP reinstall and was thinking about tagging all my mp3z accurately (finally).

Windows explorer on vista isnt too bad for filling out fields such as artist, album, track name, track no, etc.
