Just bought a NUmark DXM09.

At the moment Im running one CDJ-800 and a Numakr turntable off it. I have been constantly adjusting the sound levels, but even when I have each individual channels master set at between a quarter and half volume, and the overall mixer master set at between and quarter and half volume its all orange lights saying itsa at max volume.

If I turn each individual channel right down even further (ie to less than one quarter of the way) and then the master up more (ie to half) its better (ie fewer times with the orange lights), but I thought my mixer would be able to handle a LOT higher sound quality than this!!! Ive never turned the sound up more than half way because Im scared the whole thing will blow!

whats the solution?

Pic attached showing both the individual channel maxed out and the master maxed out.

please clarify, when you say you have the individual channel volume, are you talking about the channel fader? have you checked the gain? where are the lights on that channel peaking? im guessing that you have set your gain too high which is why when you lower your channel fader and raise your master, the master isnt clipping as much.

In the pic you supplied it looks like youve got all 3 channels set to phono. Switch the CDJ channel to line, run it through the line in. And on the back of the mixer change it to line as well. Check your gains. Then comeback and tell us if you still have the problem

Yeah as above:

1. Plug cdj's into LINE IN not PHONO IN
2. Switch input switches to LINE (switch above eq's)
3. Adjust GAIN (knob above eq's)
4. RE@CH 4 T3H L@$0R$
