hey all,

i'm an avid fan of breaks, an obsession really, but you don't need to know that. anyway, in light of my recent privilage of seeing lee rous aka plump djs in sydney at the metro (awesome venue for large events) i'm heading down to your lovely city at the weeks end. i'm in need of some funky, breaky, drop it down therapy. in the nine months that i've been clubbing, i'd have to say that nu skool, fatty bassline, so thick you can cut it with a knife breaks is the best thing out there. why you ask....cos it has groove. i'm done with the typical "stomping" you get at places like sublime@home (sydney) in the voodoo room. to be honest with you, i'm bores me to death....the bassline is so ordinary.....no creativity in it what so ever. but breaks...you get a fresh bassline with every track the dj throws down.

So if anyone out there in the breaks community, who i'm sure agrees with what i have to say about breaks, can direct me to your best breaks night out in melbourne....made props go out to you. saturday or friday...it don't matter.

one more thing....in sydney we get 3D world...a weekly publication on clubbing in sydney.....what's your version of same free print media.

can't wait to get down there.

Hey there...

Saturday nights at Revolver are good... "The Late Show" featuring Ransom and Brewster B. It's their birthday coming up April 14.

Heard a great breaks set at the Salt sideroom once, but this was a one off for a recovery. Um, not that much really, I'm sure there are some. If you're there May 11, the third Breaks Ahoy is on which is Brewster B, Phil K & Paz aboard the Lady McKewell. I went to the first one by myself and I had a *wicked* time!

Phil K plays Friday nights at Club UK i think. Never been there myself but have a few mates who go regularly and they have assured me that it rocks. Otherwise if you're after a more hip hop fueled breaks experience then Peril (melbourne's resident hip hop grandmaster) has a special nite this friday with a breakdancing comp being conducted also (can't remember where sorry, maybe someone else can help?).

hope you carve it up!

as for your 3D world thing, in most funky clothes/shoes/records stores pick beat magagazine and inpress, they should give you a fair idea of what's going on
