View Full Version : Help..Visiting Melb this weekend
Im visiting Melbourne this weekend with my bf and am keen to find out whats good on a Sat/Sun night.
I have a short list of Salt and QBH (just for size factor) any other suggestions??
We are staying at the Como and any bars close by or others worth checking out would also be usefull.
Cheers. :)
# 1 RULE : Tell us what you like, and we will answer for you!
Want girls, fast music, slow music, ravey music... what?
I reckon you picked a @!#$ weekend to come up here personally....not much on....and also clubbing sucks on saturday/sunday.......friday is the club night.....saturday the event night......but there is jack all events on this saturday.
Right - well, girls not on our short list... :)
Music wise, not fussed, have been looking at the future thing.. Republic, have also looked at the more house bound QBH, have been told that Salt is worth checking out as is Seven..???
I have broad music tastes - well anything but r'n'b.
We dont arrive in Melb until 11pm on Friday - we may go out... suggestions..??
The Monkey parties are great when they come to Sydney, don't they have a Sunday club night?
I also hear freakazoid is good for some great house music?
C'mon Melbournites, can you shed some light? :)

yep I'd recommend Freakazoid @ the rear of Chevron on a Sat night or if you like tech-house on the hard side check out Thomas Schumacher at Seven this Saturday for $20.
Check out our what's on for other events

If u want pretty Hard Techno / House -> Monkey is the go on Sundays BUT becos Saturday isn't a great night for clubbing - u should consider QBH on Saturday for their new Saturday nite thang put on by the MONKEY people - Chris Knight & co - called THE GARDEN - then @ least u have filled up Saturday with a venue / organiser / vibe & music which is just great. Also on Fridays @ Revolver's nite called Curve with some very deep house (so deep u r drowning) - with Angela Maison (very under-rated) & Ant. J Steep. Salt's Our House is Your House is going great (for Saturday) . Haven't been 2 Republic but the punters seem 2 like it. Sundays maybe chill out with the most gorgeous crowd & cool House / Disco @ Disco Shopping @ Station Hotel in Greville.
I'm sure u'll find someting fresh 2 like.
