Gatecrasher venue

Has anyone heard about where the next Gatecrasher's likely to be? The future entertainment site says the Docks, but on the same page it also says "intimate club venue" - kind of contradictory! I thought the docks were finito for all such things, am I wrong????? (hoping not!!!!! kickass location!)

.....ohhh but Room wont be big enough for the Gatecrasher Tour as QBH will not be big enough for Paul Van Dyk.....me is thinking that Melbourne has a serious delema emerging on where to hold large scale events........

Melbourne wouldn't have a problem with venues if promoters were willing to put their events on further out. i know EPTAS lost their ass on it but the party they held at that MASSIVE venue in Laverton was killer. It's just a matter of looking for venues further afield. What about essendon airport? i'm sure their are lots of places its just a matter of looking, i was driving a mate home last night and there a huge warehouse near the docks for lease (not on the docks, private ownership), i'm going to go back and have another look at the address, im sure the owner would be willing to put it up for temporary lease.

What Gatecrasher has been cancelled?!? :( I don't care what anyone says- Gatecrasher's are so much fun. Ignore some of the muscle men and cowgirls (even tho hey! they're having fun!) and you'll have a ball! I got so over the docks and I hate to admit it but i was glad when they said no more dock parties- but now i wish to regress and take that comment back... I hate the way all these big parties are being forced into dingy, dark and overcrowded clubs :( It is terrible. Melbourne is in need of some decent warehouse venues, outdoor venues and leave the clubs for the club nights :( I think the Tennis Centre was awesome for Two tRibez. Just my opinion anyway!

for those who went to offshore, what did you think of the shed where the futurezone thingy was?? brought back some docks memories for me!
