1) Need to get a pair of Sennheiser HD25s before Friday - where's a good place to get them (and not too pricey) in the city (Melbourne) or nearby?

2) My 1210 Mk3s are getting very rough around the edges. Can someone recommend a good place to get them serviced (again, Melbourne). Not overly fussed about the cost, would like a good job done.

Ta peeps :)

Sure, if that's possible it would be a much better option. But going by what was said in the original post, it's not.

They do. Those accessories and a longer cable are included with the new release of the HD-25s. Most aus retailers now stock the new HD-25-1 II package.

I doubt very much you have 1210MK3's as there was never such a model and possibly you can't read.

There was SL1200MK3's and they came out circa 1989 in Japan only and eventually evolved into the SL1210MK2.

Like I said perhaps you and chemical records can't read either. Here's the pic from the page you kindly linked

Now that looks like SL-1210M3D to me?

Like I said, there was NEVER a model SL1210MK3. There was a Japan only model called an SL-1200MK3 which came out in 1989 and was short lived due to the confusion it caused as the only difference was black colour to an SL1200MK2. It was re-released as an SL1210MK2 in Japan and the rest of the world. This was subsequently followed by the SL1200MK4 in 1995 and then the SL1200/1210M3D in 1997 and so on

Well they're close enough for chem records to put the url as mk3... I'm aware that they are 2 different products from 2 different era's but they are close enough in name and the dude that owns them and is looking to have them serviced dosent know or doesnt see the point in elaborating between the two.

:thumb: I agree, he asked for a place to get a TT serviced not for a lesson in Technics history
