Swifty - Read the classifieds in the Saturday papers.

Sony have successfully sued and shutdown some mod chip makers, so in the interests of ITM, lets not promote this. :)

swifty, a number of typical Playstation modchip installers are starting to do Xbox chips so check your usual outlets in whatever state your in - but i have heard they charge quite a bit for the chip+install - around the $300 mark - which is a bit ****ty considering the chips cost around $60. short of that if you know anyone skilfull with a soldering iron, the chips are relatively straightforward to install. they can be imported from many places.. the biggest being www.liksang.com or www.gamegizmo.com. the two big chip names are Enigmah and Xtender but there are a number of cheaper and simpler variants coming out now because the hacked Bios has been released.

Mike there are a number of reasons someone may want a modchip and a lot of these reasons are perfectly legitimate and reasonable.

You might also want to try www.ozchips.com.au

Alternatively, I have a friend who will be starting an Xbox chipping business very soon and he won't charge over $200.

Thanks for the info guys.

Believe me, I know both sides of this tale.

For those of you that didn't realise, ITM did some Xbox promotion a while ago. A good source of revenue which helps provide you with an interesting website, it would be a shame to lose that by throwing this sort of thing in their face.

I'll say it again, in the interest of ITM not becoming attracting the wrong sort of publicity, take it private.
