Hi everyone,
Just letting those of you in Brissie know that we're doing a demo night @ Central Station Records on the 28th of November. It's a great chance to see the system put through its paces and get hands on with all the features.
Doing the DJ duty will be the inimitable DJ Kuya (Arsenio Fabay Jnr.) using his very impressive skills on the scratch and the loop and the wikka wikka (he is seriously awesome for those who don't know him!) so there's an opportunity to not just see the bleeding edge of DVS in full flight but to catch a fkn awesome scratch DJ up close and personal too!
There will be NI giveaways on the night - and everyone loves a freebie!

Hey you kids,
I'm Heath, and with the support of Central Station up here in Brisbane I am organising the Traktor Night. It should be a really great night, and the best chance you will get to be up close and personal with all Traktor-related products. Not only will Traktor Scratch be on demo, but so will the NI Audio Kontrol 1 interface, and Traktor 3.3. Murray and I will be working out some great prices for the night, so there is no better time to make the jump/switch to the best DVS system on the market. And I hear Arsenio is da Man, too.
Any questions just drop me a PM.
Heath.
PS. Hey Pro Fool - your fly is undone.

but no! seems they have decided Im worthy of a free copy of Traktor 3.3!!
Pretty cool, seein as I already got a decent soundcard AND TS for a ridicolously low student price.
So, are NI from Germany, or Denmark? Me wants to shag their women in appreciation.

Germany. You could start your appreciative shag-fest with their Chancellor Angela Merkel, and work your way down the power-chain. However, you may need some of Germany's many many beers to make that work for you...

Bumpity-bump.
8 days to go people, for what should be a great night out - even if it is a Wednesday. Bring your friends and all your nerdiest questions too, as this is the best chance to get the skinny on Traktor, or just digital DJ-ing in general. And for the clincher: There's probably gonna be beers!
heath.
Ha... I came in here to say... anyone keen to hit up some beers before or after :P

No beers for me 'before' (as fun as these events are, some of us are working!) but certainly after. I am a fan of the alcohol-flavoured beverine... On an unrelated note I haven't been to the Belgian Beer Cafe in months - how sad!

^^ Are we allowed to have a hands on go of it after the official demo has been done?
^^ no, i'm going to steal it.

I'm sure a bit of hands-on time will be allowed with Traktor - I consider it essential to complete the NI brain washing...

Bumpity-bump kiddies, it's on tomorrow!
Everything is in place, bring yourselves, your smiles, your questions, and your credit cards because there will be some hot deals on the night. Oh, and there will be beers, too!

It was very well done :) good turn out, really gave a good look into the product, and was a bit of fun :)
Few things'd come in useful (Xone like filters, multiple loop points per track etc), not for me personally, but I can see it being a winner for others :)

Heya Plan-b - you get all that stuff in Traktor3.3 as an add-n whereas TS straight outta the box is essentialy a 'meat'n'potatoes' DVS with FX etc once you thrown Traktor into the mix you've got the whole lotta everything with the 4 decks, Xone EQ's and Filters etc...
SO....
Don't forget that NI have that special going at the moment where if you buy TS now you get a free copy of Traktor3.3
I also heard from Mr Heathcliffe that there is a superspecial offer available only to people who attended the demo evening. And it's apparently NOT the price you were given on the night. I hope he got all your email addys....

Follow this link to see a little of the action. Major Music's press monkey, Vilhelm, promises to edit the camcorder tapes into a better record pf the whole night.

In summary, there was sausages, a kick-ass DJ, a great crowd, and beer. Sounds like a party to me!
