Hi Guys

I've lost track of the thread, but there was a discussion about Ade Fenton's upcoming tour on here a few weeks ago....

I've just completed an interview with Ade, which will be up on the site in the next few days. He has some pretty interesting thoughts, so look out for it if you like his stuff.

Thanks

Brad

Hey Brad,

Thanks very much for the heads up... Shall be very interested to hear what God, I mean Ade Fenton has to say for himself...

P.S Lucky you for getting the chance to interview him... Majorly jealous :)

Regards,
Brett.....

No worries Brett. A month and a half until you can see God perform in person....

Enjoy

This is a silly question but is anyone aware of any mix-CDs by Ade? Or compilations with his material? It would be good to know where non DJs can hear his tracks outside of the club environment.
I have asked on other lists and have had no response.

Cheers

Ade hadn't produced any mix CDs. The only CD based source for Ade's music that I could suggest would be the Wet Musik CD that's come out in the last month, that has Will E Tell and Alpharisc Live at the Forum Theatre - from their Braindance gig in February.

The CD has 3 of Ade's tracks on it, one of which is "Bitch", which is one of the tracks on the new Purification EP, that will shortly be released by Wet. Of course, being a mixed CD, you won't get to hear the tracks in their entirety.

Thanks

hey Cyc!

Yeah, also Wetmusik CD 002 has a few Ade Fenton tracks on it. Or you could log onto satelliterecords.com to hear sounds bytes from his records - about a minute and a half for each release.

Cheers, Mike

Thanks for the leads fellas. Yeah, I hear Ade's records all the time and like what I hear. I guess I need turntables so I can get more vinyl for personal use but being a poor writer, he-he. It would be nice for Ade to do a mix-CD as I hear from folks in the UK that he rocks it hard as a DJ and certainly he has the profile now to do one.

I know there is a good Web site for Advanced Records but it's one of those hi tech ones that crashes a computer, or at least, my computer. Others may have more luck!!

Brad: Well written, I enjoyed the article... Thanks for taking the time to write it..

cyclone: to access www.advancedrecords.co.uk you'll need shockwave and flash installed I believe.. its worth the trouble though, very well put together site...

P.S Anyone know an official release date for Purification on Wet Musik? Appreciate any details anyone may know...

Brett

Thanks for your feedback, much appreciated. I don't know an "official" release date for Purification, just that it will be sometime in May. It's pretty cool, IMHO (I assume you have heard it?)

See ya

Hey Brad,

Yeah I heard a few of the tracks (Bitch and can't recall the name of the other one) on the Wet Musik show on KissFM here in Melbourne. I liked what I heard, but in my opinion, not his best work. That goes to Mind Games and Into The Spiral with the Turntribalism EP on Advanced coming close behind.

Mind you Audio 23 with Anthony Thomas was not to shabby either!

Brett.

Hey Brett

Yep, I agree with you. Like I said, it's pretty cool, but I don't think it's a contender for his best work. For mine, that title would go to Turntribalism.

Have you checked out Tony Thomas' last few releases on Red Frame? His last two have come out in pretty quick succession and they're both worth a look.

Have a good weekend,

brad
