Got these prices from a mate and just want to make sure they are OK before I go and buy

CDJ200 $605
CDJ800 Mk2 $1010

DJM400 $680

Still decided between the 200 and 800 CDJs, any advice on that would be awesome as well...

Cheers

i sold my 800 for about $600

you have good 'friends'

hahah i sold my 800 for the price your 'friend' wants to sell you his 200 :D

you can buy a new 800 for pretty close to $1000

the cdj200s are about $600 new

ahahah

The prices are for brand new stock mate..... not second hand

ahh you probably should've mentioned that. thought he was trying to give it the large one.

prices seem ok - i just spent 1 second looking on ebay though to get my 'quotes'

cdj800s are the way to go in my opinion, but i guess it's all down to what you want to achieve on your forray into mixing. if you want to scratch or do more hands on stuff then definitely the 800, if you want to just beatmatch and gay shit like that then the 200 :)

Hahaha :)

Well i am on a pretty tight budget, so maybe the 200s will be fine (for now). I'm not going to be doing any scratching or anything like that.

Could always upgrade later I suppose.....

cdj 800 mk 2s go for 900 second hand on ebay, 1000 for a mk2 is a good price

I got my 800's (mkII's) for $1000 new, I shopped around for a bit and it was the best deal I could find.

I'd go the 800's over the 200's for that price, I don't think you'll be disappointed. Worst case scenario you can sell them off for not much less than you got them for.

from where? warranty and everything?

Peter B

I got them from JB HiFi in Bondi Junction. I think JB's the cheapest place to get anything.

Somewhere else (can't remember where) was having a one day sale and had new and used 800's from a $1000, so I asked them to match the price and they did. I think the ad meant x demo / rental or something like that for $1000, but it was't very clear so it worked out for me I guess.

JB near me has still got 800's for $799 ex-demo (full warranty). Been hiding in a little corner for a few months now, either no one wants them or no one apart from me has seen them... Shop around, buy with cash and you'll get a much better deal. They buy them in for around $700-800 (depending on quantity), everything else is mark up.

vinyl = gay
cdj's = gay
beatmatching = gay
mixers = gay
mp3's = gay

lets just accept it, electronic music is gay, and so are we as we listen to it......

but im not gay.....but the dude I root every now and then is.

As for this thread, go to JB and offer $1000 for an 800. If they say no just say you have the cash with you and if they still say no just walk away...they work on commision and dont sell much pro DJ stuff so they will soon back down.

nah man. yeah vinyl's pretty expensive, its just how it is.
the numark dxm 06 mixer that u mentioned is a good mixer for starting out & for scratching.
as for dex, if technics 1200s r to exy for u i would recommend numark tt500s.

but like gamblore said u should check the sticky threads at the top of the dj booth forum & do some research
