Sorry, the link only works with Wndows, or the 'smooth mixing between Ableton and CD decks' instructions only work on a PC?
Surely, the steps are the same regardless of platform? I've worked with Ableton on both a PC and Mac and never spotted any obvious differences.

Ah, I see.
What function were these programs performing?
Windows, being the bastard platform it is, requires these band-aids. ;) OS X does it natively with the Audio MIDI Setup utility built into OS X. You can find it in the Applications folder, under Utilities.
Question is still, what function where they doing? Your CD decks don't have MIDI do they (meaning there's no possibility of linking Ableton to them)?

Perhaps link us to the tutorial you found and we can work it out from there. Cheers. :)
There is heaps of info on abletonlivedj.com regarding mixing with CDJ's .. talks about mixing without the Global Quantize clock on etc .. you can setup a basic pitch nudge type system with Abe 6 ... but if you wait for Abe7 which is real soon .. it has a pitch nudge system built in natively .. which should make this whole exercise alot easier !

Oh boy Phil - you're lined up for it right now....

YOU FAIL! I never get a chance to set you straight mate - but here it is. You got some reading to do ;) The Midiyoke/loopback process while in this case PC-specific is NOT natively possible on your beloved Macform, even if that incremental OS update didn't fuck all your software and plugs into turd. I'm sure there is a Mac way of doing it - but seeing as most of the excellent open source/freeware software out there for audio stuff is only available on PC, then perhaps it's time to think about that most excellent feature recently implemented in the Mac which has driven sales better than iStyle in your iLife.... The fact that it can run Windows.
And of course, fuck your myopic mac-love. :P

^^^
Yeah, I know what the MIDI yoke / loopback stuff does, I'm wanting to know its implementation as far as nudging Ableton's tempo.
Pretty please? ;)

And please, I urge you to set me straight whenever and however long after the fact. That's an order! ;D
