Howdy all!
Firstly cheers to all at ITM for setting up a home for all us Jerry Foreskins and Pete Van Dicks.
We should start a mini network of producers and hopefully begin a few remixes for each other etc. Between the vastly differing genre's and production methods we hopefully have more answers than questions!
Can I be the first to post a track for you guys to review?
I'm a breaks prodcuer from Melbourne,
http://www.mp3.com/djlynx
but this track is a dutch trancer, almost NRG, but not quite as hard.
I really would love some feedback, good OR bad on this one- the link is
RIGHT HERE (http://members.optusnet.com.au/jonathansinclair/djlynx_-_blackmagik_jonos_rerub.mp3)
Thanks guys and I cant wait to see this forum develop!

heya redmond just listened to your track....
noice effort there mate not really my sort of thing but good none the less a few things was 8minutes08 seconds a subliminal thing for the length  a bit long and drawn out and a little formulaic but thats not really a bad thing i mean played at the appropriate venue it would go down a treat:)
some multi band compression over the whole mix would've been nice also plus some tightening of the drums and in the breakdown when the hook comes in it's a little bit screechy maybe a different sound layered under to phatten it up a little just a wee bit thin.
but over all a kool effort mate keep at it :)

the track as a whole is very good, i'm hearing proof that you have a decent musical skill, and you know what makes a track into a chune...
i'd be echoing what hpstekno said, in that it's a little "default" in it's sound. You've got very basic 303 and trance leads, and very basic 303 offbeat bass... It doesnt hurt to tweak and drop down some effects to get things phattened up...
The beat is good, quite sharp, maybe add a little compression to squish it and get it sounding more hard...
Overall i'd say the track is a little too long, cut it down to around 6 minutes or make the track more interesting...
It could do with a good run over with some EQ and mastering tools to make it sound more bangin'...
Again, very good stuff... keep working on it!
What tools did you use to make the track?

hp, Phunk and co.
Cheers for you feedback guys!
I was fairly reluctant to post this track, as its really not the best example of my work, especially seeing as its a littel out of my genre.
This track was a collection of little experiments etc which is probably why its a tad long and drawn out. The leads are NI FM7 VST, the basses from the Yamaha RM1x Box, the drums sequenced in Logic & Fruity, percussion, pads & twinkles from various places also.
The best example of my work would be the nuskool and d&b tracks I've done, many found on my site at mp3.com.
I'm gonna sit down tommorrow and change it all to mp3.com.au though, appease the gods and all! ;-)
I'm always up for honest reviewing of others tracks, so post a link and lets get listening.
I'll re-post one of my best tracks later in the week, its a cracker.
thanks again guys, and BTW your comments were pretty spot on.
