ok well go look in the sequencer track of the drum machine. there should be three markers one labeled L, one R, one P. they stand for left right and play (derr) move the L to where you want, the r to where you want then right click on the drum machine and select "copy pattern to track" this will copy the pattern of the drum machine to the sequencer track in between those two markers. then turn off your pattern section of the drum machine and hit play in the transport and itll play back the pattern for however many bars you copied it in there for.

also everytime you have a question it would be nice if u could just add it to ur older threads instead of starting a new one each time.

ok look at the sequencer across the top of it is a bar full of option buttons. select the track assigned to whatever device you wish to compose with, then look at that top bar and select the second from left option (three horizontal lines) this brings up the composer, down the left you have a piano roll and pressing any key on the roll will play for you that note through your device. select the pencil button on that top bar and then simply draw in the notes you want.

hey issues dont take this the wrong way but...

get offline

the time you spend checking this you could just READ THE REASON MANUAL and not have these fundamental problems!

now i know you have a priate verion of reason but luckily the basics of the manual action is allllllll included.... go click on HELP and soak it up

or read the Acrobat file

oh, and to answer your subtractor cry for help, right click somewhere on the unit and click CREATE then MATRIX

the auto-assign will hook this up for you, so dont worry about routing

click RUN on the matrix, and draw in some blocks in the middle (this represents keys/pitch as per the little sketch to the left) and then add some lines down the "bottom" of the matrix

this section represents Velocities of the notes being played, or in some cases "note on/trigger"

stick with reason, you'll love it

its also a fantastic way to introduce people to the concept of signal flow and routing.... but more on that in about 6 months okay?

routing is so much fun, especially in the crazy ways programs like reason and fruity let you do it...

i want a routable version of NI's Pro52

like i said. thats no excuse. if you can't read the help/tutorial/manual then you can't use the software. which is it?
