I'm having issues with the search function on my laptop, and im sure this has been brought up before, so sorry if im doing it again.

Im thinking of buying this unit and want to know if anyone owns it or has any bad/good thoughts about it?

- Whats the onboard sound like? Necessary upgrade to a decent interface straight away?
- Could I use this as a reliable unit for a gig if thats the route i go in the future?
- Will it integrate reasonably well with Ableton?
- Any issues with running a Macbook?

Im currently using the BCD3000 and im taking it back due to some issues with build quality etc. The M-audio unit looks like it has some better features, build and software etc

I'd just like to know if anyone is using this or had experience with it and can answer any of the above questions?

Cheers,

Don't know much about the x-ponent but also keep on the lookout for the vestax vci-300 (to be released hopefully soon and around the same price point) although the vestax can't be used with abelton i don't think.

I have a Torq Xponent at home and I'm pretty happy with it :thumb:

the onboard sound is pretty decent

It's quite reliable i reckon,
I've used it a couple of times for house parties which runs for 24hrs straight without any problems. LOL
The software response is great because there is no lag when u try to do things, e.g. move the pitch or effects.

I cannot answer these questions as I don't use ableton and Macbook

the eq's are shit what ive heard, but the torq-dj.com forum have workaround for this. there are flightcases available for it so you can also take it out. it rewires into ableton without anyflws, however the midiclock sync is not implemented yet so you have to wait until 1.5 until you can sync every other thing with torq.... this includes every synthesizer etc aswell woooheee :) no macbook issues.... they are right now in the work of a software upgrade to fix all the annoying bugs before releasing 1.5. check the videos on their website.
