Adelaide's no. 1 progressive night returns for another monthly installment in August at Skylab. This time, K2 hits the decks for another serving of breaks like only he can as well as Mal returning from his overseas tour with a crate of brand new weapons. Add to this Fabric favourites Brendon and Andee to guarantee another dose of progressive mayhem in the city of churches.

Fabric: August Edition - Fri 16th August - Skylab, top floor Minke - Doors open 10pm

Why rip off a name of a successful club in londaon? Have ALL the good club names been used already? We have a Fabric here in Melbourne as well!

Yawn.

Why come into a thread for a club that you've never been to and start making negative comments?

Why did you choose the name Digitalboy? Were all the original nicknames already taken?

Is it FabriK in Melbourne or a FabriC?

Take it easy Beekayz... By golly by jinkies, feeling a bit.. you know... fiesty today are we? ;)

FabriK in Melbourne is quite different to the one here or at least that's what I'm told. :)

So what if it's a name from a club in the UK, does that really matter? :? Seriously? :?
It sure didn't influence my decision to go there.:P

We also have Heaven in Adelaide...
do you have something to say about that too?

Sheezles Maneezles!!!:p

1 sleep to go!!! :D

after reading 'last night a dj saved my life' i realised that all the club names that are used today were used in at the very earliest the 70s.

nothing is ever new ... does it matter what its called or if its called the same as somewhere else as long as people go and shake their ass.

I think you will find the names were used before that...

Fabric in Lonodn is the name of the club. Fabric is the name of our night. I think Melb Fabric is with a k. Don't think it is running anymore though. Anyone know?

At the end of the day, we used the name because it reflected what we felt about the music we represented, hence the "music with substance" tagline, not an effort to capitalise on another clubs good name. :)
