CDJ-100 Skipping problem

Hey fellas,

I have a very unusual problem with my cdj-100 and was hoping someone may have come across this...

My CDJ-100 skips evertime I use a CD-R disc but not an original, I have not used the unit is sometime but recently hooked it up and cannot overcome this problem which never occured at all in the past - I have tried:

* Using different brands of CD-R (TDK, Sony, Verbatim, etc)

* Burning at the slowest speed

* Using a different burner

* Blowing the inside out incase of dust

It's got me puzzled because it plays any original cd perfectly even ones that are scratched to the shithouse?


Any help id appreciated, cheers in advanced...

not a good idea to blow in (or on) a cdj.
moist air + dust = dirty laser

i didn't think anyone was using cd's anymore, but dont let that spoil your fun.
in the 80's, the fads were yoyo's > fluro > hypercolor > cd's (in that order), so by my calculations hypercolor will be in by october, so maybe at christmas cd's will make a come back.
