Well Im an experienced VST producer who has been composing tracks since early 1992. The Styles in which im currently dabbling in vary from techno - hardtrance - hardnrg - hardhouse and progressive funk. I have worked along side and with promoters and have co-organised small time underground parties, and I broad spectrum of musical buddies whom I sometimes jam etc. Basically, im looking for some members to form a techno outfit (I must stress i do not mean the genre more the reference to the production end, ie electronic music, loops, riffs and beats, which may include live instruments.. )

Even if composition is all an intrested party wanted to do that would be cool.. and understand that only the same basic applications are needed, which im proposing be Cubase VST + Reason 2.0.

Is that a bit clearer? any appologies if I was a little vague to begin with =)

heh heh thats better

anyone whos in the industry including myself is a little wary about giving strangers over the internet our music, but the AcidPlanet mp3.com types jump at the chance and thats even worse

rofl

last thing you want is someone who's music experience extends to ""a few months on rebirth""

I dont mind if your in Melbourne, in fact Id see that as a bonus!

All you are going to need a semi decent internet connection, so we can swap cubase files/reason files etc.

by the way im not looking to rob anyone of thier music! =) I'll be trusting people with my riffs just as much as they trust me with theirs =)

And for the record, I know many artists who still use rebirth! Though I also know some people who are moving out of the VST realm and in the external TB-303/TR-909 zone.

Come on people!! where is the postive vibes I know exist in all of us =)

I GOT PLENTY OF POSITIVE VIBES....DUDE !!!!

Just that I am busy with my own Live stuff (as are many others in their respective ways), which leaves very little time to create studio production tracks, as such.

Be patient and wait for the right person to come along (when u least expect it) and you will create plenty good BIG BADA BOOM!!!!

Good Luck dude.;)

you said it SOME artists.... for the other 99.9% its a waste of time IF you are expecting the $. i will agree with you that the feedback can be excellent (or even very very misleading/uninformed)

as for fan mail... well...

play a few gigs and you get 120 FANS

net nerd fanmail is bullshit and a pain to read (re: mp3.com spammers)

make money off the internet?

pfft

come chat to NIL or i sometime and we'll have a chat about money

lol

but in all seriousness.... i can agree to disagree with you das.... lifes too short

as for the rebirth remark.... rofl @ myself sometimes

if you knew me youde know rebirth is my pet hate due to various business related experiences i wont go into here

and yes im well aware that the bubbling acid bassline in the Chemical Brothers "it began in afrika" is iin fact rebirth (verified by the guys themself)

i just dislike 303's full stop

(and remember when they were 50 dollar pieces of junk)

good luck guys! ;D
