When did you buy your first mp3? If so what was it?

I am thinking of starting a collection of mp3s when i turn 18. Don't have time at the moment or the money to afford an mp3 player or even some mp3s. (I turn 18 in december)

I want to start buying mp3s as a means of collection, not buying them for the sake of it. But buying a tune to hold and keep and listen to every so often, perhaps show to my kids if i ever have any.

My first MP3 was given to me by a friend from school. Was probably an underground punk rock track. I remember he compressed the shit out of it, it was probly something 96KBS, he chopped it up into three, zipped each part and put each part on a seperate floppy disc. I then took them home and reconstructed.
