what would you choose

Im flying out on saturday night. Heading to Space on sunday (Fanciulli, Woolford, Ben Watt an Sasha) so thats obviously gonna be quality. But the issue is that half of us are only out there for 3 nights while the rest are staying for 7 nights. Ive never been to Ibiza before so Im not too sure what to do for the monday night. The choice is between Cocoon or Privilege for me on the monday - and this will be my last night. Im into my progressive an techy stuff and have seen sven play a couple of times - the last time being a few weeks ago. Tiesto is the other alternative at Privilege - now I dont really listen to trance anymore, but this is what I grew up listening to and I have never seen him live before either. Such a hard choice to make - any of u been to these nights this year which could influence my decision? Venue wise which is best?

Amnesia is 10x better, I found privilege too hot inside as well.

I'd say go Cocoon. Even if you have seen Vath recently there's always other quality djs playing and you havn't seen Vath in Amnesia, it's wicked. I actually enjoyed the terrace there more than the main room.. it reminded me of the cave rave in Matrix 2 haha.

I would say Tiesto! although i didnt go to Cocoon but Tiesto was amazing, although Privilege is extremely hot its well worth going to check out the size of it.
In saying that Amnesia is a much better club but I would still pick Tiesto every time

When i was there there were only two dj's per room, Vath & Dubfire in the main and Villalobos and Kaden in the terrace, they kind of just split up the night to half each but there's no set times as such.

nice this sounds mint is it the same in Space? I hope Fanciulli doesnt play for just an hour and half or something. Never seen him on his own before so I cant wait. Also Sasha was only on for 1.30 in creamfields an he blew me away so lets hope hes on for longer on sunday too.

Saw Sven at Cocoon At Amnesia on a Monday last year and was very good - biggest monday night on the island at the time - and its the euro sound of progressive wihch will fill an international crowd. - if you want a euro party do cocoon - quality progressive tunes - but little all over the place.

Just got back from Ibiza from a week ago and saw tiesto at privege on a monday. with out doubt it was awsome. i do like tiesto and my trance but this was european tiesto with fresh music, dont go expecting old bombs like traffic, flight 643 etc. its all new and lots tracks from ISOS 7 - Asia which build up the baeleric vibe.

Talking to locals they have said its the quietest season on the island in 10 yrs or so due to the partying laws preventing after parties etc and clubs starting till the arvo = however tiesto has been the biggest success on the island in 2008 - DO IT GO - YOU MUST -

PS go for the music and the djs - thats what its all about in Ibiza - all of the venues are good and yes some are better than others - ie space and amnesia who have some of the best sound systems you will ever here! :)

Also hot tip - get your tickets for the clubs during the evening/day before you get to the club - you will save 10-20 euro on tickets on the door and not have to cue up. Playa d'en Bossa or the port where all the waterfront restaurants are the best places to get tickets

I think Ill generally enjoy the music more in Amnesia from what people are saying though I really do like some of tiestos in search of sunrise volumes (havent checked 6 or 7 out yet though) but I can imagine his set will go down well with me. Id be worried about the other djs playing before an after him though if its gonna be trance. Hmm might have to jsut see what the others are up doing either way I think Ill have a quality time wherever I go but Im gettin more an more tempted by Sven by the day lol. Cant wait for space this sunday though line up is immense. Did you do space sunday this time round?

After doing both yep privelege tiesto on a monday was the goods - but if you have limited time ie - 2-3 nights, do an amnesia night and sven will certainly give you the ibiza feel of what its all about. A week this time for us gave us choice in styles of music which rocked - ps yes did space sundays - that is the ultimate ibiza party - i believe it may have beeen out most sideways and fun night :) James Zabelia smashed it home in the main room. If you do go to privelege there will only be one warm up for tiesto, then he will play 4hrs or so till close, so guaranteed good tunes. Sven will play a similar length set to bring home the night. Check out who is playing with Sven the night you are there and that may help you decide.

Till 09 Ibiza - its time to look forward to some summer fun in aus - (if only the music was as good and carefree as in ibiza)

thanks for all the advice people - I ended up in Cocoon on monday and what a night that was. Soo glad I did it, heard some things when I was out there that the average age in Privilege is around 18 and a lot more chavs etc go there as its Tiesto. Im sure I still would have enjoyed it, but I couldnt fault cocoon at all. Top advice.
