View Full Version : Wanted: Standard PsyTrance beat loop
Can anyone help? I have been trying to make it myself in various apps but am not getting anywhere. Anyone got it on wav at all? And yes I know there has to be tracks out there with JUST the bass in one section but damned if I can find them!

isn't it just a hi-nrg, kinda four on the floor techno feel?
what tempo do you want?
you want a kick drum with a real short decay and real high pitched, like at least an octave above normal. Stomper Ultra++ should be able to come up with the sound you want.

You must build it yourself.
Don't pinch it from someone.
This way it is from you and it means something, it will have the magic in it that has come from your hard-work and dedication.
DON'T GIVE UP.....!!!!
That is the way it is.:)

buy a psytrance RECORD and sample it
vinyl typically has a bass drum count in over 16 with various other bits of sound added each bunch of bars remember
also... psytrance is pretty varied these days
do you mean Psyharmonics kind of aussie psy drums or oldskool goa psytrance sound?
if you mean the clean high round sound of the bad ass kick thats blessing the PA's of doofs austrlia wide... go buy some vinyl from DEMONTEA and youre laughing

yeah... my sentiments exactly kaoss...
BYO riffs'n'beats... don't just ripoff & regurgitate :|
I think it's ok to sample a single kick drum from a record, it's not really stealing someone's creative idea like a melody or something like that...
EDIT: Now that I think of it, if you get fruity loops, one of the standard kick sounds that comes with it is called Ckick I think, in the "Club" drum set or rhythm set or whatever it is... it's very psytrancy...
Sure... a single kick sound... but I do think it's a bit of a worry if you can't make up your own basic trance beat loops.
I'm not adverse to the use of samples off old records... the odd break etc. In fact I think it's great... one should try & license them if you want to release the track commercially tho'.
BUT I don't think it's really on to ripoff whole bass riffs & drumm loops off techno(or whatever genre) records or CD's unless they've been released for that purpose. Save up & buy some good sample CD's or loop vinyl like the rest of us. Those loops, sounds & riffs have been created specifically for artists to use, sample, cut up, do what you will with. That's why they cost a bit, 'cause that stuff just isn't worth nothin'.
So sure grab sounds from here there and every where... I'm just saying don't take whole riffs/loops/phrases off other artists releases, try to make your own, & besides, there are heaps of places on the net where you can get loops 'n' stuff as well.
Like on Amon Tobin's site... & the coldcut sites... they have a samples you can use section that anyone can grab & play with.
I guess I'm mostly responding to this thread starter mentioning looking for 12's that have sections with just the bass etc. - this implies.....{:-( 8-)

some of it will be shite & some will be great... search & sift - it's the nature of the beast!
