Can anyone give me a start on synthesizing a piano sound using an analog synth?

um it's actually hard to get a piano sound from an analogue synth... you can do an electric quasi piano sound tho

osc1: square, med freq, med PW
osc2: triangle, med freq (higher than osc1), med PW
mix: even

attack: short
decay: long
sustain: short/off
release: mid

cutoff: play around
reso: play around

this gives a sorta tonewheel/vibe sound

of course this is way fuzzy, since i dont know what gear you're using...

yeah... it's a tough call... I'd say good luck it'll never happen (even good digital piano sounds are hard to come by)

Having said that I've got a piano sound in a dub tune that came off a Kawaii and it's quite bearable when it's soaked in reverb&delay.
So get as close as you can (using phunkdusts advice - or with whatever you've got) and process the shit out of it in an attempt to disguise how bad it is!!!:p ;)
cheers

yeah cool, that's all I want is kinda an approximate starting point, cos I was gonna fuck around with it from there, going for the electric piano sound. Thanks dudes :)
