what will it mean for djs in relation to music if you can subscribe for $2.5 for unlimitted music?

Judging by where it says that when u cancel the service the songs arent playable, im guessing its got a protection over the songs. Or maybe u cant transfer them of the phone, aka not mp3 or something?

but it also says that other companies are planning on releasing similar products in which the files are not deleted after the subscription runs out. and that itunes is thinking changing to the same thing albeit the quality isnt good enough to dj with files from itunes...

Yeh, its only for mobile phone content (ie. locked within the device) - moot point re. DJs

itunes plus files are close to 320 mp3s, ive bought a few and cannot tell the difference on my hd25s
