ikea table with adjustable legs. im using it since half a year its the dopest dj booth ever. you can adjust the height of th elegs, tis stable and will last for ages and the table is also very deep so you can have a laptop stand and midi controller sand shit behind the decks....

and i have the 150cm tabletop with some metal frame underneath, it says 50 kg max but with the metal frame underneath it easily holds 200 in the center...

dont buy that table
its way too expensive, they are just exploiting dj enthusiasts such as yourself.

All you need is a table about 1 meter high.


Just get some pine for the frame,

Then buy whatever material you want for the surface (mdf? pine? jarrah?tin?),
and bolt it together and you will have a greatr table for less than 100 bucks


If you don't like the skeletal looks of the table frame , just drape a black sheet, or some flags over it

Also it is fun to build :D

i bought that very same desk 1 year ago from ebay for 60 bux, had some marks on it but rubbed it out and was all good but to wobbly for my liking so flogged it off to a homeless man as a work bench

yeah its a painters trestle im pretty sure, sits about a metre high and im probably 5'10" ish. I get sore backs when mixing for a while but not because its too low its because im always leaning forward

For the same price you can buy yourself a pair of cheap 15 inch PA's in boxes and a roadcase to plonk on top of them.

Presto, perfect height as it sit around 1.3 meters.

You can get a pair of cheap PA's off Ebay for about $250 delivered.

i recently just bought one of those bookcases from ikea and layed it on its side.
i only moved house yesterday, but before that it was on one side of my corner desk.
the cables at the back look gay but im going to buy the square boxes that fit perfectly in the bookcase.
its a good height for me, im like 5,9" though

My decks sit on a piece of an old-skool kitchen unit that we bought specifically for that purpose...cost us $100 from the op shop...works perfectly :thumb:
