hi there,

my name is daniel, and i'm a member of circuitry productions, a group of people responsible for a series of parties in sydney entitled .lucid, dating back to november of last year. i just read the news article about your similarly dubbed tech-house/techno night at the Mantra nightclub. i also noticed, interestingly enough, that you plan to put on a large scale party soon called Fuse; which is, if i'm not mistaken, the name of an extremely popular and very long running techno club in germany.
my question is this - what is the address of your website where i can apparently listen to DJ Shadrach??

keep well.

Lucid @ mantra plays more styles than just tech-house and techno. those are the styles the recent guest djs have been playing at Lucid.

For some reason it fell off the end of the feature but DJ Shradach does his Lucid Dreaming show on www.Pulseradio.net

I think you'll find the Brisbane 'Lucid' name goes back further than November last year, and anyway, why quibble over names? I'm sure that for every Aussie club that thinks it has an original name there's some obscure club in Canada or wherever which has the same name.
BTW, don't want to sound picky but the club 'Fuse' is in Belgium. Dave Clarke has a monthly residency there.

Greetings nexus-6,

As Mr Shadrachs business partner and one half responsible for the naming of our night Lucid I'll have to let it slip that Buddha above is completely correct. Lucid opened @ Mantra nightclub in October of last year and we had press out late August/early September. Our prouction company prides itself on working with, not against people and if I remember correctly the name came from my flatmate, where she got it from who knows, but it felt right and stuck.

Lucid promotes a number of music genres including tech-house and techno but by no means limited to these two. On any given night we can rangle up anything from house to breaks to techno to trance to tribal to progressive back to techno with probably a bit more breaks and house thrown in for good measure. It all depends on who our guests are and what the mood of the night is really :)

Have a listen to Shadrachs show or try to tune in on a Saturday night as we should be getting our Pulseradio broadcasts back up and running within the next couple of weeks. These will only give you a snapshot of what we're about on the night but at least you'll get an idea and'll be able to hear some of the guests we have coming up over the next couple of months including DeeDee, Slieker, Andreas Kauffelt, Simon Digby and more. After all if we're to convert Brisbane to a city full of techno heads we're going to need a little help. Our website should be up and running within the next week but if circuitry productions has one, pass it along, I'd love to see what you guys are up to.

Regards

I may have read it all too quickly and you may have said this...but you guys were using the name Lucid way before Mantra was even around....on the radio show etc....
