Got a little problem with effectively using my samples,

im currently using a tracker to make trax, modplug -

and seeing as i have cool edit full version i thought of editing my samples so they sound more "real" and professional etc

what functions should i be using on cool edit to do this?
or alternatively... is there a handy editing feature on tracker programs, or maybe a trick to use??

dude sounds like your question is, "how do I master my track?". And if that is the case then you are opening a can of worms worthy of its own forum. My suggestion is go to www.computermusic.co.uk and do search for articles on mastering.

If I have misunderstood you and u just have shitty samples which u want to tidy up for your mix b4 u start the mastering process, then have a play with some of Cool Edit's filters, particularly the 'scientific' ones and see what you can do.
