Alright here's the problem,i was in the middle of a mixing the other day ,when my mixer decided it was going to fvck up,here's the lowdown

Gemini PS 626 - 3 channel mixer

I noticed that the bass on the third channel started to make a high pitched feedback, squelchy sound when turned it either far left or far right ,then it started going distorted & losing sound on the right hand side speaker,if i turn it a little bit the sound comes back loud & clear again ,the bass on the thid channel is the only thing that seems to be the problem...

Hope someone out there can help

:)

i presume by "bass" you are talking about the bass pot in the eq strip

the pot might just be dirty or damaged

most quality mixers have self cleaning pot mechanisms, so give it a good twist to the full left and full right a few times

failing that, go get it serviced if it really worries you

if you are at all techy yourself it can be an easy fix but if you dont know your solder from a coat hanger getting it serviced wont cost much

good luck

before you do that, try clean it yourself. my magic fix for most problems fader/pot related on dj mixers is to blast the fucker with compressed air to get rid of any gunk then apply radio tuner spray or any suitable electronic lube. saved many a mixer ;)
