does anyone know someone reallly good for making banners?
im after 3 or 4 different types, not nessasarily saying a date but maybe like.. " this FRIDAY"
Or something.

any direction would be appreciated :)

That's pretty ghey - you could do that yourself in paint. But otherwise, anyone with photoshop or illustrator could whip you up something a little more professional.
One thing you would need to know is what sizes you want? A3, A2, A1, A0? And realise the cost of printing if you want those sizes a) in colour or b) in gloss colour
I imagine you'd probably want A3 or A2 for in the venue and then something that big ^^^ would be close to A1ish? but it doesn't look like a standard paper size because that looks material. Which again would be more $$$$$

Something to consider.

Oh yeh and for the first bit - I could whip you up something, if I could be bothered. I just don't think i could be bothered.

If you're paying that's a different story..... I assumed you were looking for a freebie. But keep in mind that what ever you are willing to pay for the design it will be disproportionate to how much a printing place will rape your wallet.

Every Friday 9pm til LATE
Requests Accepted/Played (whatever sounds better u think)
whatever else u reckon.
possibly a good picture of a dj mixing/dancefloor? im not sure.

Competition closes friday at 5pm, winner announced at 6pm
money will be transferred into your account before the designs are handed over.

paper size should be like.. 3 times bigger then A4 :)

I see a lot of RnB posters with sexy chicks on the front and i'm guessing that's what'd work best, as people will relate and draw the right kind of attention to it.
Also, A4 paper 3 times bigger is A1 :P

^it looks clunkier than it printed out-scaled it down file size wise for webs-and it was a "2 hour quickie" I did after a night of no sleep cuz I thought the other one I did was too much of a straight "google search+info"..

I can't spot a typo apart from deets....you gotta factor in how "non sober" I am at time of doing these too lil dude...oh and after you do a poster/flyer or two you (well I at least) realised the most people look at a poster or flyer for on average about 2 seconds tops so you just try and garner eye traffic quickly and throw in details...

Why wouldn't you just go to a signwriter? They print banners on large format inkjet printers that will print on pretty much any substrate up to about 80mm thick.

Look up signwriter in your local yellow pages or something? And then to get your flyers printed look at a few places online who do them cheap or just go to a small instant print place.

It's not fucking rocket science.
