My behringer DX 500 seems to be having a few probs that is when the fader is set fully across to channel 3 you can still hear channel 2 slightly in the background.
Please help
how can this be fixed
what is it caused by
do i need a new fader
or new mixer
thanks in advance
ur experiencing cross talk. all mixers and channels and faders have it to some extent, b ut when faders are used for a while they can develop more and really obvious cross talk. the fix would obviously be a new fader, but before you do that there are a couple of thngs you can try to fix it. coz u prolly dont need a new fader.
firstly run down to dick smith or tandy or somewhere like that and pick up two things. firstly a can of compressed air, and secondly some electronics tuner spray, get one for pots and faders. blast the fader with the compressed air then spray on the tuner spray, 9/10 it will make a large difference to the performance of ur faders.
if doing this doesnt work go buy a new fader :)

Every Electronic muso (or DJ) should have a can of CRC - CO contact cleaner. It is an oil free spray cleaner that cleans all kinds of electronic components - especially computers etc.
Its the same as the "tuner spray" mentioned above but cheaper and more readily available. Also negates the need for a can of compressed air too.
:)
i have crc co, its the bomb :) there are just so many different types out there that someone may find it hard to find one specific one. i always reccomend having compressed air around its handy to clean just blast all the gunk out
yeah ... agree with all.... just be careful when usuing compressed air on soldered components and fine circutry as it's been known to blast off stuff that's supposed to stay there as well;)
