Thorium Lei is one of Brisbane:s most promising DJs to step up to the decks. Her enthusiasm for quality music is evident each time she places the needle on the record. These days concentrating on Detroit-influenced techno, she:s been known to play rocking drum:n:bass and house sets as well. Thorium Lei has played varied events such as Dragonflight 99, Maelstrom in the Blue Mountains NSW, Photon Phunk@The Orient, Fusion@Jamesons, Primal@The Hub, Primal@The Cuebar, 4ZzZ FM Free for all @ Bonapartes, Griffith Uni O-Week Party 2001, Qld Art Gallery, Syncron NYE 2000, Monastery, Mantra, Horny@Moskva Bar, Divas on Deks@Spin&Jam as well as radio appearances on Wash : 2SER FM(Sydney), 4ZzZ FM (Brisbane) and Pulse internet Radio.
She lists well respected music labels such as UR, Transmat, Funk Records, Pro-jex, 430 West, Southern Outpost, Black Nation, Tresor, User, Fragile, Red Planet, KMS, Frictional, Novamute, Moody Recordings, Purpose Maker, Gigolo, Axis, Trackhead, Mute, Music Man, Figment, Blueprint, Trax, Intec and Tronic as must haves for her record box and collection.

Anthony Miller has been described as "one of Brisbane:s most versatile DJs", (Brisbane Tribe, Sept 2000); you never know whether you will get funky techno, house, breaks or trip hop. One thing you can be guaranteed of is deep drivin: funky @!#$ and some serious sideways action!
Known to masquerade as the Colonel Smokin: J McMilhouse and The Handyman, Anthony wants to create and release more original productions in the future. Collaborations with Jandy Rainbow and Octogroover, have led him to recently establish independent label Xcav8 Records.
He co-hosts 4ZzZ:s DJam Sandwich Radio Show, Friday nights 8-10pm with Miss Laura. Past club residencies include The Tube, The Empire and la discoteque. His current residency is Friday night:s Vinyl Club at Mantra. Anthony has played extensively at Brisbane parties over the last ten years, including Acidisco, Mayhem, Advent*Jah, 4ZzZ Marketday and various outdoor doofs; and alongside the big names like Carl Cox, Kazu Kimura, Jeff Mills, Plastikman, Luke Slater, Phil Smart and heaps of other of great locals and international artists and DJs.

My first night as a DJ was in 1982 when I was asked to fill in a night at the Terminus Cabaret in Brisbane when the resident DJ was tragically killed in a plane crash. I enjoyed the experience so much that I stayed as a resident DJ at that club for 13 years. From there I played at all of Brisbane gay clubs until 3 years ago taking a residency at the Wickham Hotel where I am still in residence today. I am only aware of one other DJ in Brisbane who has been spinning in the clubs for as long as I have been. During all these years I have noticed a marked change in the style and direction of dance music.
My style of music has traveled down many roads over the years from disco to hard house. I currently present an eclectic style that encompasses house, trance and commercial dance. As I firmly believe that a DJ is present in a club to entertain the punters and not themselves I tend to play a diverse range of music to satisfy the various styles of dance music that my clientele demands.
I have played at numerous gay dance parties in Northern N.S.W as well as numerous parties from the Sunshine Coast to Cairns as well as on some of the Great Barrier Reef islands. I have also played at Queensland:s Sleaze Ball for the last 6 years as well as the Queens Birthday Ball for the last 17 years. The Queens Birthday Ball is the longest running gay party in the world having just presented its 40th party several weeks ago.
You can catch me at the Wickham Hotel on Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights. I will also be playing at the Alliance Hotel on Saturday 7th July. This Sunday on briz:b:e:a:t:s I will present a set of trance and hard house tracks that are moving well on my dance floor at the moment.
