View Full Version : Anyone put DJ style fader-caps on a Xone:62?

I'm considering buying one second hand, but I'm not keen on the faders.

Any other reasons not to buy a 62?

I was going to do the same thing but i think i found that they don't fit, its not as straight forward as one would think. As you can see from this pic http://www.htfr.com/more-info/MR74163 the knob that the cap fits onto is different.

What else are the downs of a Xone:62 vs the 92. I quite enjoy the 92 when I play at my mate's house, but that's mostly the filter (and VCF) and then EQs that I like going 'wheeeeee, I'm a house DJ' to.
Hell, you can make an music 'talk' with that VCF.

stick with ur vestax, sounds so much better, xone mixers have no kick in them its all about the midrange and i fucking hate that and i bet u dont have problems looking for fader caps and pot knobs around your room.

^Fair enough.
A little too much/too unfocussed bass for me on the vestax - when I do a demo I have to EQ out around 3dB of the low end because it's so overwhelming. And I want a filter.
Maybe I should just buy an isolater/filter addon or something. *thinks*

You wanna swap me for your 92? :P

if you had a CX on offer it would be a no brainer but then again u prolly would keep the CX instead. u can get an E&S isolator for 600usd brand new me thinks

Wow, that's a brilliant setup. Did you make the table (e.g. from Ikea bits and pieces or from scratch) and can you point me in the direction of how? Nice :thumb:
