hey peeps, umm forgive me if this is a repost but i cant remember how to search the forums :S would appreciate a slap in the right direction.
But more importantly my question about nomralising. im making a sort of collection of tracks to mix that i had previously ripped from cds into mp3s before i moved, but umm the levelling is differnt on all of them, if i check the option to normalise the tracks in Roxio will it suffer any real loss in quality, the files are all 320kbs and for those who might ask why convert them, i do so becasue they read faster on the decks.

if normalising wont cause me any real probs with quality what percentage should i set it at and also should i check the box thta says "reduce background noise using pre-emphasis" any advice on those features would be greatly appreciated.

Just on a second note i tried splitting my mixes up into individual tracks in WAV. format however i still have a gap between tracks. i use goldwave to split it up. Could it be that i might have recorded the mix in mp3 format then converted to wav pre splitting? ( last time i tried and failed to split tracks semlessly was some time back")
