Hi guys,
A mate of mine has been bitten by the mixing bug recently and wants to get his own set up. I recommended he go with an entry level mixer and upgrade later when he feels he's ready. He was thinking about gettin the Xone 22 which from what i gather is Xone's new entry level mixer.

Anyone have any experience with these things? Would you recomend them versus the other entry level units available at the moment? If not, what would you say is a better option to go with. He's only looking for a two channel simple thing, maybe some effects but hopefully good construction, sound quality etc, for this range of mixers. What are your thoughts?

(Sorry if this threads been done, the search function has been disabled apparently.)

Buy a secondhand djm 300, when he's learnt to beatmatch and has outgrown that then go and buy something decent. I can't see why you would want to spend 7 - 800 bucks on your first ever mixer, a 2 channel mixer at that.

for starter, how about getting a vestax vmc-004? i have that and it works a charm, plus it has 4 channels so your friend won't be having to upgrade for a while. will be handy once you learn the basics and 2 channels wont be enough for you

Fair point, as far as i know though he's buying everything internet stylee as he's a bit of a wiz with net shopping so he should be able to find it alot cheaper than that but i'm thinking the 4 channel vestax or something similar might be the way to go as i remember when i got to the point with my two channel entry level mixer where i wanted to start incorperating other decks, computer mayber, etc but couldn't without upgrading.

Thanks for the advice so far guys:thumb: Anyone else got a recomendation for a good entry level mixer?
