I calculated the NI shop price (USD$669) to AUD$934. You can't pick it up for around that in a shop?

^Not anymore... retail went up to about 1100, I thought. Could probably get one for $1000 :?

Also, looking in a Computer Music mag from January, the UK retail is only 170pounds = $350AUD! I have the feeling it's not the correct price, though. After a quick search, all the stuff in the UK is definetely more like 500pounds.

i feel raped
I bought Traktor a while ago, upgraded to Traktor Pro when NI suggested.
Since I have bought a Ecler EVO5 (Traktor Certified) mixer and a couple of control vinyls.

Now, they want to slug me another 500 bucks for scratch.....500 bucks just for vinyl control....seems a little steep.

^^^

Don't you need the audio4 or 8 for vinyl control any way.
Or can you do that with a traktor certified mixer?

Nope, thats the whole point of it being traktor certified is it not, so you don't need the interface

Ummm - from my limited play with the demo of scratch, i have the following set up
chan 3 and 4 = TT's plugged in and phono switched on
chan 1 and 2 = audio routed from traktor scratch back to the mixer via firewire

So 1 and 2 are the actively used channels - signal on 3 and 4 is the time code.

Dunno if this is how it should be....anyone running an EVO5 and Scratch will probably tell me i am doing things way wrong, but doesn't bother me as i am not using it at the moment.
with phono, line and firewire on each channel, its not as though i am short on routing options

Ideally i would like to set it up so i can run two time code and use my vci for the other two decks....for shits and giggles only.
