G'day guys,

A mate of mine has a DJM600, purchased last February, and unfortunately for him; some liquid matter, presumably cat urine, found its way into the cross fader.

Since this time, the crossfader has been temperamental at best (even after replacing it) and the headphone output tends to crackle. At times, he has to resort to using split cue mode.

Is there any place that you can recommend that complete repairs and servicing on Pioneer DJM mixers?

Any help is appreciated.

It doesn't smell anymore, either that or I am just used to it. The headphone output actually distorts, but the master out is clear. the cross fader levels are really low so I have resorted to using the up faders, and the actual levels on each channel some times make weird noises (this can be fixed by letting it warm up and turning it on and off again).

LMAO

My 600 has the crackling with the headphone socket - I think it's loose inside or something - well I don't have a cat so I'm pretty sure mine's not because of that!

since a cat pissed in it, i think it's only logical that if you can get a dog to piss into the mixer then they should cancel eachother out and you mixer will be good as new.

does that make sense tyo anyone else??

yeh, kinda
but catching a mouse and letting it die in there would probably get you more points

If you're in Sydney, I can have a look at it for you.

How long ago did the offending liquid get in? You need to get it serviced quickly to prevent corrosion.

It might of been in there for a day before I noticed. I have taken the DJM apart and cleaned all the fluid out, though it still doesn't work 100%.

yes I am in Sydney.
